SEAFREIGHT INDUSTRY RATE CHANGES JULY 2009

With effect from the 1st July 2009 the following rate changes will be coming into effect:

BAF rates will range from $281.00 to $410.00 per 20ft container and from $562.00 to $820.00 per 40ft container.

CAF rates will range from 7.87% to 12.18% of the total freight value.

The following surcharges are also applicable:

EBS (Emergency Bunker Surcharge) $56.00 / $85.00 per TEU
ARS (Aden Gulf Risk Surcharge)  $20.00 / $46.00 per TEU
Suez Canal Surcahrge   $9.00 / $18.00 per TEU

Please not that the above rates are applicable for all sailings from the 1st of July and are dependent on the shipping line used.
