SEAFREIGHT INDUSTRY RATE CHANGES AUGUST 2009
With effect from the 1st August 2009 the following rate changes will be coming into effect:
BAF rates will range from $286.00 to $443.00 per 20ft container and $572.00 to $886.00 per 40ft container
CAF rates will range from 8.36% to 15.14% of the total freight value.
The following surcharges are also applicable:
EBS (Emergency Bunker Surcharge) $56.00 / $155.00 per TEU
ARS (Aden Gulf Risk Surcharge) $20.00 / $40.00 per TEU
Suez Canal Surcharge $9.00 / $18.00 Per TEU
GRI $150.00 / $300.00 per TEU
Please note that the above rates are applicable for all sailings from the 1st August 2009 and are dependent on the shipping line used.
